If you know me, you know Duncan. He isn’t just a service dog; he’s my shadow, my protector, and my absolute heart dog. Whether he’s helping me navigate life with Multiple Sclerosis or acting as a literal lifesaver by detecting food allergens, Duncan is the reason I can move through the world with confidence.
Where I go, he goes. But lately, his world has been getting darker.
The Challenge
At Duncan’s recent annual check-up, we received some heartbreaking news: he has developed cataracts.
At just 6 years old, Duncan is in the prime of his life, but his spatial awareness is fading. It’s devastating to watch a dog who spends his life looking out for me start to struggle with his own surroundings. He’s begun running into things, losing that sharp, confident spark that makes him such an incredible partner.
How You Can Help
Duncan is too young to spend the rest of his life in a blur. We are raising funds to cover the cost of his cataract surgery to restore his quality of life to 100%.
