A person and dog sharing a mutual focus is the key to strengthening that friendship and becoming a team! This skill is gained through games and confidence building exercises. Each lesson is 1 hour. We start at our climate controlled training studio, at my home in Cartersville. 

Puppy and dog training lessons are held one-on-one.

During the lesson, I'll explain and demonstrate the commands for the week with your dog then you'll practice with him/her. At the end of the lesson, you'll receive the week's homework. The more time that is spent working on the cues and desired responses the more successful your relationship with your dog will be. At the next lesson, you'll be asked how the week went and to demonstrate what you've worked on before  we'll move on to the next set of cues.

Through dedication, at home practice, and positive foward teamwork, you'll see successful results each week.

 Obedience Level 1
Structured to build a strong foundation

Classes are held at my residential facility. Canines Ages 8 weeks and up.

 In Obedience Level 1 teams work on:

-Name Recognition - if needed
-Focus
-Touch
-Sit
-Down
-Stay (in sit and down)
-Come (from 6' away)
-Leave It
-Walking on a Leash
-Touching, petting, grooming
-Supervised Separation (short distance)

6 Hours of Training - split into 6 weekly lessons - 1 hour each

Obedience Level 2
Structured to build on the Level 1's foundation skills in at an Intermediate Level, includes Field Trips

-Refreshing of Level 1 Cues
-Front
-Sit/Stay and Down/Stay- 20' Away

-Supervised Separation
-Standing for Petting/Inspection
-Greeting a Friendly Stanger
-Walking Through a Crowd
-Reaction to Distractions and Other Dogs
-Heel at Different Walking Speeds
-Loose Leash Heel

6 Hours of Training - split into 6 weekly lessons - 1 hour each

Obedience Level 3
Structured for dogs who are intermediate/advanced.
Classes include pet friendly location training

-Refreshing of Level 2 Cues
-Exit/enter doorway - knees before nose
-Walk through a crowd on a busy urban sidewalk
-Appropriate reaction to city distractions - hoking, traffic noise, building noises, etc. 
-Crossing street under control
-Person walks up and pets the dog. May be carrying an item such as a small dog in a bag, a computer bag, etc. Person does not put the bag down to pet the dog.
-Public Building (that is dog friendly). Walks under control in building (slick surface, carpeted floor). Down stay (3 min) in lobby or outdoor area, or waits while owner has a meal or snack.
-Stairs, steps, or elevator under control.
-Housetrained for apartment, condo, city living. Owner may verify this item. Evaluator may also observe in public buildings, or have observed in training classes.
-Transportation Enters/exits, remains under control during the ride.

Designed for dogs with strong advanced training on leash.

Goals:

Owner Mini Educator Training - how to use the tool correctly as communication not punishment - no dog in this lesson. Demos and practice before the collar is ever on the dog is very important. You have to know how to use the tool before anything else.

Introducing the dog to the working with the collar - fitting and setting stimulation level 

Creating clear communication - long line work with the e-collar for positive results
